Overview:

Smart Classifications are another type of label that can help you manage your inventory. Unlike regular classifications, Smart Classifications are dynamically applied and removed by Monsoon Marketplace using the criteria you specify.

When you create a Smart Classification, Monsoon Marketplace will immediately check your existing inventory for items that meet the criteria you have selected. The software will continue to check your inventory, adding or removing Smart Classifications as your inventory changes.

  • You can create Smart Classifications with as many criteria as you would like, making them extremely customizable.
  • Both classifications and Smart Classifications can be used when you create listing rules or pricing strategies, to help you refine your market listings.

Things to know:

Each Smart Classification must  have a unique name,  and can’t use the same name as a classification.

  • We recommend that you choose a name that is descriptive, so you can recognize the purpose of your Smart Classification at a glance.

In the Smart Classifications section of the Settings tab, you can click Display Item Count to see how many items match the criteria you have selected.

You can view an item’s classifications from the My Inventory tab, by clicking the ellipsis next to the Classifications field.

  • Smart Classifications are listed in bold gray text.
  • Since Smart Classifications are automatically applied, you cannot manually add or remove them from inventory items.
