Import error file
This message indicates that the ASIN in the file does not relate to an active ASIN on Amazon.
This is typically due to what we call “ASIN Consolidation.” This is something Amazon does periodically. If a single product has been listed under more than one ASIN, Amazon will come through and consolidate those product under a single ASIN. It is also possible that there was a typo in the ASIN when it was added to the import file.
- Search for the ASIN on Amazon.
- If it doesn’t exist in Amazon’s catalog and you have access to the UPC/EAN/ISBN for the product, search Amazon using the UPC/EAN/ISBN.
- If you find the product in Amazon’s catalog, note the current ASIN and input it into your import file.
- Re-import the product into Monsoon Marketplace.
If you cannot find the product in Amazon’s catalog using the ASIN or the UPC/EAN/ISBN, the product cannot be listed by Monsoon Marketplace. In order to add this product to Monsoon Marketplace, you must first create the product page on Amazon directly. Once Amazon has generated an ASIN for your newly created product page, you can add the ASIN to the ASIN column in your import file and import the product again.
